YMCA'S
Endowment Fund:
The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to provide fiscal security for the New Castle Community YMCA for generations to come.

The priorities of the endowment are to support expansion of our facilities, leadership development of our professional staff and major unexpected maintenance.

The endowment’s principle remains intact, while earned income goes to support the work of the YMCA.  In this way, the endowment’s principal grows through capital appreciation, and the YMCA receives revenue to further its mission of being a worldwide charitable fellowship.

we believe that:

   and our community’s future
► The wishes of donors must always take     precedence over all others
► Everyone within the YMCA community     understands and cherished our trusted     relationship with donors

Building on these beliefs, our staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners are committed to ensuring that:
►Donors always have final say over how
    we use their contributions
► We ask donors in advance for their consent     to change how we use their contributions
► We treat donors respectfully and with     gratitude for their generosity and support
► We carefully manage all fundraising costs to     ensure maximum benefit to our community
► We provide timely reports on how we use
    the funds we collect to ensure transparent     management of all  contributions
► We ensure the accuracy of all     communication materials to confirm they     correctly reflect our mission
► Donors receive informed, accurate, and     ethical advice about the tax implications
    of their contributions
► We provide receipts as required and
    when requested
► The YMCA and its related constituents never     disclose privileged or confidential information     to unauthorized parties
► We adhere to the letter and spirit of all     aspects of confidentiality laws

ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS

YMCA’S
Annual Support Campaign for Youth:
In our effort to make the New Castle Community YMCA available and affordable to all, YMCA Board Members, YMCA staff and member volunteers raise in excess of $115,000 annually to support our youth and family scholarship fund -providing memberships to those who because of financial circumstance cannot belong to the YMCA.  In 2008, the YMCA will provide a total of $131,000 in membership support to our community. 
The New Castle community YMCA documents all of our financial assistance in our document called – “Fulfilling our Charitable Mission”.

Any gift you can make to our Annual Support Campaign will help us – help the many youth, families, and seniors in need of YMCA facilities, programs and social activities.Contact:

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS

Capital Campaign:
The New Castle Community YMCA is currently in the process of completing our $5,000,000 Capital Campaign. To date we have raised
$4.1 million.

Our campaign has set in motion the opening of the Preston/Chambers Y-Zone -a youth sports facility for all of Lawrence County. Currently we have enrolled over 85 soccer teams and enrolled over 4,028 children and teens in youth programs. The YMCA taught over 1,800 school children how to swim in 2006. The New Castle YMCA supports our community by providing over $131,000 in scholarship memberships. 
All this situated in a safe, structured and supervised environment.

At the same time, we are devoting attention
to the restoration of the Rentz Memorial YMCA Downtown -the flagship of our association.  Please join us in our commitment to the young people of Lawrence County. In many respects, the New Castle Community YMCA has assumed the role of gatekeeper for the youth
of our community. With so many pressures
and challenges facing our youth today -
this campaign takes on a new significance and so does the value of the YMCA.
