DOWNTOWN YMCA FACILITY
The Youth Factory
The New YMCA Youth Factory, where we build strong kids with strong values, is a place where kids are safe, welcome and where YMCA values of respect, responsibility, caring and honesty will be modeled Everyday.
Swimming Pool
The YMCA’s swimming pool is a 25-yard swimming pool, which is kept at a constant
84 degrees. The pool water as well as the deck are both heated for our members comfort.
Chris Ratay is our Aquatics Director and is responsible for over 30 different aquatics programs each week. We do have a special
set of pool steps that many people find more convenient than the regular pool ladders. There is at least one, fully certified lifeguard on duty
at all times the swimming pool is open.
Wellness Center
Our Wellness Center features 39 pieces of weight training and cardiovascular equipment and is included in all Student, Adult, Membership Plus, and Family Memberships. The Wellness Center is open all the time that the building is open 5:30am – 9:45pm. Prior
to using this equipment, we do ask that you
go through an orientation, at which time, our staff will teach you how to use the equipment, go over safety precautions and answer any questions you may have.
The Wellness Center is also staffed the entire time that it is open. Staff are identified with nametags and red shirts. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask. Chrissy Neff is our Wellness Director and would be more than happy to address any Wellness issues.
