YMCA POLICIES
►All teams are required to have an adult coach or manager at their team bench for
all games. Only two coaches are permitted at one time in the bench area.
►Players may only be rostered on one team per age group.
►All rosters must be finalized prior to the
start of the second game.
►We will not tolerate any negative behavior towards any official.
►Officials must be paid prior to the start
of the match.
►Teams that do not show, cancel, or forfeit are responsible for paying entire amount
for official fees.
►All forfeit fees must be paid before playing the next match.
►Games cancelled due to inclement weather may not be rescheduled.
►The Y Sports Zone will reserve the right
to adjust divisional play accordingly:
Penalties:
►Coaches or players on the bench area can receive a penalty for taunting, dissent,
or inappropriate behavior.
Swearing Will Not Be Tolerated.
►1st Offense – verbal warning
►2nd Offense – Yellow Card (team penalty)
►3rd Offense - ejection from game and facility
Excessive Roughness will Result in
the Following:
►1st Offense-Yellow Card (team penalty)
►2nd Offense-Ejection from the game
and facility
Fighting will not be tolerated, Automatic Ejection and Removal, from Facility.
►Players or Coaches will be ejected for fighting for the remainder of the schedule
and the ejection may be extended indefinitely.
No Spitting in the Facility.
►Players or Coaches spitting on the field
or bench area will a team penalty.
Equipment:
Shoes may be flats, tennis shoes, or turf shoes.
►Players wearing molded cleats will be removed and not permitted to return until proper shoes are worn.
►No screw-in spikes.
►No jewelry will be permitted.
LEAGUE RULES AND POLICIES
All WPIAL High School Rules will apply
with the following exceptions:
►Rosters are unlimited through the second match. Rosters will be frozen before the
start of the third match.
►Players must be in 9th – 12th grade for the upcoming school year and attend the same school that they are playing for.
► Matches will be the best of 3 games with Rally Scoring to 25.
Note:
►Teams will play 3 games even if a winner is determined in the first two games.
► All matches will go no longer than 55 minute allotted time limit. Additional time prior to the 55 minute time limit can be used for additional play that will not count towards the team’s overall record.
► If time as reached 45 minutes and two matches have been played both teams will play with Rally Scoring up to 10 points in the third match. This will alleviate late scheduled games due to time constraints.
► If time expires during the third game, play
will continue on until one team has fifteen points. The first team to fifteen points will be deemed the winner of the match. If both teams are tied with fifteen points or higher, play will continue until 25 points. The first team to twenty five points will be deemed
the winner of the match.
► Each team will receive one time out
per game.
League Notes:
► There will be an $8.00 Referee Fee from each team that will be collected before the start of each match.
► Each team is to provide a line judge for each match.
► Standings will be kept and updated on
a weekly basis.
► Top four teams qualify for league playoffs.
► League Champions will receive t-shirts
at the completion of the league playoffs.
