The New Castle Community YMCA is looking for friendly, dedicated, compassionate and organized individuals to fill the following position(s):


LIFEGUARDS AND SWIM INSTRUCTORS
We are currently looking for lifeguards and swim instructors to join our team. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have their lifeguard and first aid certification. For those interested in becoming certified, we will have a Lifeguarding Course in September. Must be available to work evenings and weekends, including Sunday mornings. Current shifts available include Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6 a.m. - 12 p.m., Tuesdays 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1:45 - 3:00 p.m., Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., and Saturday 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Lifeguards will have an opportunity to be trained as a YMCA swim instructor.

Lifeguard Training Available: If you're interested in becoming a lifeguard but need your certification (or re-certification), we're offering a Lifeguard Training Course in September. If you successfully complete this training and become employed with us, we will reimburse your training costs after 90-days of satisfactory employment.

DROP-IN CHILD WATCH ASSOCIATE
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual who enjoys working with kids to work in the Drop-In Child Watch Center at the Downtown branch. Shifts would include Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and some Saturdays 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Download the full job description.

CHILD CARE – ASSISTANT TEACHER / AIDE
Currently seeking  a friendly and caring assistant teacher/aide to work part-time with children in our 4 Star Child Development Center. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, ages 12 months through 5 years of age. Morning or afternoon shifts are available. Benefits include a flexible schedule, free YMCA membership and discounted program and child care fees. Must have child abuse clearances.
