The New Castle Community YMCA is looking for friendly, dedicated, compassionate and organized individuals to fill the following position(s):

Child Care – Assistant Teacher/Aide
Currently seeking  a friendly and caring assistant teacher/aide to work approximately 25 hours per week with children in our 4 Star Child Development Center. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, ages 12 months through 5 years of age. Morning or afternoon shifts are available. Benefits include a flexible schedule, free YMCA membership and discounted program and child care fees. Must have child abuse clearances.

Aquatics Summer Intern
The Aquatics Intern will work approximately 30 hours a week with the Aquatics Director in the development, promotion, and implementation of aquatic programs, to the meet the community's needs. The intern will also help to ensure membership satisfaction.


  • Lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid certification
  • Working towards a four-year Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports or Health and Wellness related field
  • Pool management experience preferred
