The New Castle Community YMCA is looking for friendly, dedicated, compassionate and organized individuals to fill the following position(s):

Child Care - Preschool Teacher
We are currently looking for warm and nurturing Preschool teachers who have the creativity and desire to engage children positively and effectively, through unique activities, while also providing children with a fun, hands on learning experience. Candidate needs to have at least 2 years experience with children and/or BA/BS/AAS degree in Early Childhood Education or RELATED field experience. Our classrooms are focused on learning, fun, and organization. Please be prepared to have fun and to run the classroom. A YMCA membership is included with your employment in childcare. Other requirements:

  • FBI fingerprint, PA State Criminal & PA Child Abuse background checks (Clearances must be within the past 5 years of start date)
  • Must have physical/TB test completed (within 1 year of start date) before you can start
  • Copy of diploma
  • Valid Photo ID/Drivers License
  • Two letters of reference
