YMCA's Annual Support Campaign for Youth
BRAVO!! New Castle Community YMCA Exceeded 2010 Youth Campaign Goal
A very special recognition to our 346 donors and 48 board and member volunteers, who exceeded our youth campaign goal of $200,000 by raising $216,818.
These Youth Campaign gifts ensure that the YMCA never turns away a young person because of inability to pay. In fulfilling our charitable mission for 2010, the YMCA is financially assisting 14% of our 5800 members -- over 1000 youth, student, and family members. We anticipate membership and program support to be over $300,000 in 2010.
Thank you for helping us build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities with programs that teach respect, responsibility, caring and honesty.
The YMCA is grateful to our many dedicated volunteers who worked to make this campaign a success. The YMCA is particularly thankful to our campaign leadership team of Lynn Nichols, Campaign Chairman; Steve Caldararo, Major Gifts Chairman; and Louis Merryman, Board President. And to all of our Board Members, who served as Campaign Team Captains: Thank You!!
Any gift you can make to our Annual Youth Campaign is greatly appreciated. Help us change lives with your gift. If you need assistance in making a gift, please call me at 724-658-4766 and ask for Bill Lutz.
YMCA's Capital Campaign
Periodically, the YMCA, in conjunction with our strategic plan, conducts a Capital Campaign to make physical improvements to our facilities or to build entirely new facilities to expand our program. Currently, we are devoting attention to renovation of our flagship downtown YMCA. Plans are being discussed about future renovations.
In the past four years, we have made major renovations to our Child Care facility, Dek Hockey Rink, two Wellness Centers, youth center, lobby and security renovations and improvements to our infrastructure.
YMCA's Endowment
The purpose of the New Castle Community YMCA's Endowment is to ensure the future financial security of the YMCA for generations to come. Endowment principle is protected so every gift is preserved. In this way, endowment principle grows through capital appreciation. Only income derived from investments of the Endowment may be used for operating or special projects and to further our mission of being a worldwide charitable fellowship. Outright or planned gifts may be made by calling Bill Lutz at 724-658-4766.
