Child Development Center Positions

The following is a list of positions available through the New Castle Community YMCA Child Development Center.
We are seeking dynamic individuals committed to the early childhood profession. These positions are responsible for daily program operations, curriculum and program planning, health and safety of the children and the learning environment, and communication with parents and other staff members. The successful candidates will have the ability to manage multi-tasks in a fast paced early childhood environment with a high level of professionalism.
A CDA, AA, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field is preferred. Other requirements include FBI fingerprint clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Record Clearance, and Physical with TB test.

Child Development Center Positions
Positions: Toddler 1 Assistant Teacher, Toddler 2 Preschool and Lead Teacher, Toddler 2 Assistant Teacher, Assistant Preschool Teachers.
Requirements:
A CDA, AA, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field is preferred. Other requirements include FBI fingerprint clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Record Clearance, and Physical with TB test. Two years experience working with children within a child development center. Ability to develop curriculum, create class room resources and relate effectively to children and their families.
Basic Job Function:
Assisting the lead classroom teacher in planning, supervising and implementing developmentally appropriate programs in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the YMCA. Responsible for the implementation of educational, recreational, creative programs and activities that encourage the healthy development of a young child, health & safety of the children and the learning environment, and Assist the Center Director in the assessment of developmental levels of children.
