YMCA Youth Factory

The New YMCA Youth Factory, where we build strong kids with strong values, is a place where kids are safe, welcome and where YMCA values of respect, responsibility, caring and honesty will be modeled Everyday.

Swimming Pool

The YMCA's swimming pool is a 25-yard swimming pool, which is kept at a constant 84 degrees. The pool water as well as the deck are both heated for our members comfort. Russ Hopkins is our Aquatics Director and is responsible for over 30 different aquatics programs each week. We do have a special set of pool steps that many people find more convenient than the regular pool ladders. There is at least one, fully certified lifeguard on duty at all times the swimming pool is open.

Wellness Center

Our Wellness Center features 39 pieces of weight training and cardiovascular equipment and is included in all Student, Adult, Membership Plus, and Family Memberships. The Wellness Center is open all the time that the building is open 5:30am - 9:45pm. Prior to using this equipment, we do ask that you go through an orientation, at which time, our staff will teach you how to use the equipment, go over safety precautions and answer any questions you may have.

The Wellness Center is also staffed the entire time that it is open. Staff are identified with nametags and red shirts. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. Chrissy Neff is our Wellness Director and would be more than happy to address any Wellness issues.

Aerobics Studio

The YMCA offers over 50 fitness classes each week, which take place in this area. The floor In the aerobics studio is an aerobic floor designed specifically for fitness programs to each the stress on your joints.

Free Weight Room

The Free Weight room is also open all the time that our building is open. We do have volunteers who help out down here during peak times; however, there is not staff down here at all times. This area is also included in all Student, Adult, Membership Plus, and Family Memberships, and you must be in at least 9th grade to use this equipment.

Spin Center

Spinning is a very popular program at the YMCA.We have Spin classes running throughout the day and the schedule is again listed in the program brochure. Many clubs charge an additional fee for Spinning, however here at the Y; it is included in your membership. This is a very high intensity workout.

Membership Plus Locker Rooms

These locker rooms are more private; they have expanded space as well as, exercise equipment. Some people are more comfortable working out in a private area rather than the Wellness Center. The Membership Plus locker rooms are also carpeted, have kit lockers available and each has a dry sauna and lounge area. You must also be at least 18 years old for this locker room.

Child Care Department

The Y has a full facility Daycare and Preschool on our 2nd floor. It is for children 13 months through 1/2 day kindergartners. It is open 6:30am - 6:00pm. The children in our Daycare and Preschool also have access to the various facilities (gym, pool) and programs, which is an added benefit to coming to the YMCA.

Dale Squicquero is our Child Care director and would happy to answer any question you might have about this area of our organization.

Handicapped Locker Room

We do have a private, handicapped locker room available for those who would need this service.

Chapel

The YMCA Chapel is open all the time that the building is and is available for people of all faiths. While the YMCA is a Christian organization, we do accept and respect all faiths. We do have a Bible study, which meets in the Chapel on Tuesday mornings and is lead by Rev. Dennis Bupp.

Youth Locker Rooms

Small kit lockers are available to our members for $12/year if you would like to leave some personal belongings here so you don't need to carry things back and forth every visit.

Four Racquetball Courts

The YMCA has 4 racquetball courts available for our members. This service is included in your membership. There is no additional fee for court times. We do ask that you call in and reserve a court to ensure your time and court. You can just call the Member Service Desk and they will ask your name and reserve your court. We do have limited equipment at the Member Service Desk for our members to borrow if they need to. We do require participants to wear protective eye gear when playing. There are tournaments and leagues that also run for racquetball throughout the year.

Gymnasium

There are various programs for members of all ages scheduled in the gym. There is everything from preschool programs to gymnastics, basketball and volleyball and some people just use the gym to walk.
