    About the Award
The Salute to Jack & Nancy Flannery follows in the vein of the Y’s annual Salute to Courage award. The award committee has defined courage as “the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc. in spite of fear, or the confidence to act in accordance with one’s beliefs and/or convictions.

    About the Recipients
Jack & Nancy Flannery exemplified servant leadership, commitment to our community, and the YMCA’s core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Jack was a YMCA Board member for more than 30 years; Nancy was a YMCA Diamond Girls mentor.

Jack & Nancy would recognize challenges facing our community and, individually or together, would work to address those challenges to effect positive change. Please join us as we salute Jack & Nancy Flannery for their commitment, their compassion and their courage to make a difference.

We help families learn, grow and thrive
All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign, which provides life-changing programs and memberships to more than 1,000 youth, adults, older adults and families every year. The Y counts on the generosity of our members and partners to keep our doors open to anyone who needs a place to go to help them be more healthy, confident, connected and secure. No one is ever turned away from the Y because of inability to pay for a membership or program.
